How This Chrome, Edge And Opera Security Bug Left Users At Risk—For A Whole Year

A cybersecurity researcher has revealed how one single vulnerability in Chromium-based web browsers left users at risk for a year.

Impacting Android, Mac and Windows users, a zero-day chromium-powered web browser vulnerability was exploitable between March 2019 and July 2020. Given that Chromium powers more than 65% of all web browser usage according to market share statistics for the year ending July 2020, that means billions of people were potentially affected.
