Venture capital investments in cybersecurity hit a new high in 2018, but is this actually as good as it sounds?
Some $5.3 billion (£4.1 billion) of venture capital funding in cybersecurity companies last year has been reported by Strategic Cyber Ventures. Cybercrime is, needless to say, good for those businesses that exist to thwart it. However, is this level of investment actually likely to make much impact on the sheer scale of cybercrime that exists today?
