Google has confirmed that it is to close a loophole that allowed publishers to detect people using Chrome incognito mode

It has been confirmed that a loophole in the way that Chrome implements incognito mode allows site owners and publishers to detect when people are browsing privately. Why would they want to do that? It’s all about the money, naturally. Some people use private browsing functionality in an attempt to bypass metered content paywalls.
